 NoVa West Lacrosse proudly announces
our High School Elite team the Flamingos.
The Flamingos are NoVa West's elite High School
recruiting team that will compete in the finest tournaments throughout
the summer and fall with the intent of getting these
players maximum exposure in recruiting tournaments with the
opportunity to compete to make team Outbreak.
Tryouts for the Flamingos are by invitation only! All
high school level players will attend the first three open
high school level try outs and be assessed. After this
assessment NoVa
West will nominate players from the open tryout to
participate in a tryout for the Flamingos.

Wednesday April 28h is the last
day to sign-up for a try out for the 2010 Summer Select
Program
We are Committed to providing players the much needed exposure they
deserve. In 2010 the Flamingos will compete in
great lineup of recruiting tournaments. The top 6-8
players from the Flamingos will play with the Outbreak in
three or four of the most competitive recruiting tournaments in the
country.
Eligibility
The Flamingos will be made up of 24 - 28 players (maximum)
from Northern Virginia and Maryland.
Players must be High School aged during
the upcoming September school year.
NoVa West requires a minimum GPA of 2.5 from all the
players wishing to tryout for the High School level team.
Why do we require this? Because NoVa West likes to consider
itself unique among summer select teams in that our mission
is to maintain a very high percentage of our players making
it to the next level. Most college coaches will not
even talk to players with GPAs lower than 2.5 so we feel by
putting this restriction on our players that we will be able
to work with them and get them placed into a quality
collegiate program. Remember at some point the ball
will stop bouncing and we all need to be able to fall back
on our education to further our lives.
Drugs & Alcohol - NoVa West has a zero tolerance policy when
it comes to drugs & alcohol, if any of our players are under
the influence or are in possession of during any of our
event the player will be removed from the team immediately
without refund.
