Stars Competitive Lacrosse Camp you
will maximize your potential with a staff who can make a
difference. Interact with Coaches and players
who have revolutionized the sport, playing the game at the
highest levels. Each camper will
have the opportunity to take their game to the next level.
Camp Philosophy
In 2011 the camp has been restructured into a
competitive team camp. Each player will be assigned to
a team with a coach who is either playing collegiately or
has played in college. The teams will work at the
beginning of the week implementing systems and then there
will be a camp playoff on Wednesday with the Semi-Finals and
Championship game on Thursday.
The team that wins the team championship at
the end of the week will be presented with Rising Stars Team
Camp Championship T-Shirts.

winningest coach in Northern Virginia.

has been with NoVa
West since it's inception. Rob
is the Head Coach of the Crusaders
recruiting team and is the Director
for all camp activities.
Coach Horne has been the Head
Coach of the Notre Dame Academy
Dragons since 2001, prior to that he
coached the Loudoun Llamas.
During his coaching career he has
amassed over 100 victories and
appeared in four state semi-finals. In
2007 Rob guided the Dragons to their
first ever Virginia State title and
was named the MILL Conference Coach
of the Year.

if you have a specific request ahead of time please let us
know and we will try our best to meet your needs.

Team Blue Hose |
Coach Devin Pinkston
Devin
graduated from Notre Dame Academy in 2007 after
playing four years under Coach Horne. During his
tenure at NDA Devin captured not only school but
also Loudoun County all time scoring records for
season (126) and career (367). In 2007 Devin helped
the Dragons win two conference championships and the
Virginia State title. He was voted MILL conference
player of the year, All-State first team for the
second year and High School All-American. Devin
received a scholarship to play collegiately at D1
Presbyterian College in South Carolina, he is a
starting attack man for the Blue Hose.

| Team Irish |
Coach Matt Miller
Matt is a great young talent in his second year at
Notre Dame University. Matt was a multi-year
MILL All-Conference player as well as a multi-year
Washington Post All-Extra player while playing at
Notre Dame Academy. He is as dominating a
defender that has ever come out of Northern
Virginia. |
| Team Dolphins |
Coach
Brendan Niklason
Brendan
is a tremendous young coach. During his
playing time with the Crusaders he captured the save
record for the team. A very quick and very
skilled goalie, Brendan brings a lot to the NoVa
West staff. Brendan has signed to play collegiately
at D1 Mount St. Mary's. Brendan was named the MVP of
the Virginia DIII State Championship game in 2008. |
| Team Retrievers |
Coach
JD Harkey
JD Harkey is new with NoVa
West for 2011 but certainly not a new name for the
Northern Virginia area. JD played his high
school ball at Loudoun Valley High School were he
went on to become probably the most decorated face
off specialist in the area. Since then JD has
gone on to have a very successful collegiate career
with the DI UMBC Retrievers. JD's skills in
the face off department will help NoVa West and it's
players tremendously in the future. |
