Dodging & Shooting Clinics
NoVa West recognizes that young players today need
instruction focused specifically on their areas of interest.
This is why we have added the Dodging & Shooting clinics as
part of the DP32 series. Learn the fundamentals of
effective dodging and shooting from a player who works at
this every day to compete at the D1 collegiate level.
NoVa West is very fortunate to have Devin Pinkston running
the DP32 series of Camps & Clinics as well as a Coach for
our summer select teams.
This clinic will cover the most extensive list of dodge
movements, off ball movements, and throwing forms/shooting
scenarios, known to lacrosse. By teaching how each skill
works and then perfecting the form through exercise
repetitions, the movements become 2nd nature to the players.
This becomes a major aspect of a players understanding of
their individual abilities and therefore allows them to
repeat many of the exercises when they self train, as well
as during game play.
The clinic
is open to all skill levels. Our goal is to help our boys to
keep improving, no matter what current ability level,
through small group sessions with a great deal of individual
attention. If you
become a better one-on-one player mastering individual
skills you will be a better
all-around player and a greater asset to your team.
If you want to improve your skill level so that you can
compete in lacrosse at the highest levels sign up for a
camp, clinic or personal lesson with Loudoun Counties most
prolific offensive player. Coach Pinkston holds the Loudoun
County single season and career scoring records and is now a
starting attackman at the division I collegiate ranks. Coach
Pinkston's U15 team the Virus won two summer select
tournaments last summer while amassing a 17-3-1 record.
NoVa West firmly believes that young players should learn
from people that have played the game at the highest level,
All of our coaches have played at the collegiate level.
