Rob played collegiately at the University of Richmond (1993-1996), Coach Horne assumed control of the Loudoun High School lacrosse varsity program in 1997.  From 1997 to 2001, Coach Horne's Loudoun team amassed a cumulative 49-27 record while playing a competitive public and private school schedule.  In 2000, Coach Horne was fortunate enough to be named the Washington Post Extra Coach of the Year for lacrosse.
 
In the Spring of 2002, Coach Horne assumed control of the fledgling Notre Dame Academy program. In 2007 Notre Dame Academy under Horne’s direction, won two conference championships and the Virginia State title. Overall, NDA has accumulated a 106-64 record playing teams from Maryland, North Carolina, Texas, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.  In seven short years Coach Horne has helped 22 of his graduating seniors go on to achieve their dream of playing collegiate lacrosse.

Horne is the head of the History department at Notre Dame Academy where he teaches History and Anthropology. He is married to his wife Kelly and the have a one year old son Owen.
